Seriously and effectively implement expanded vaccination work in Da Nang area

DNO - The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Official Dispatch No. 3717/UBND-SYT requesting departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to seriously and effectively implement the expanded vaccination work in the city.

The City People's Committee requests agencies, units and local authorities to seriously and effectively implement the City People's Committee's plans on implementing expanded immunization in Da Nang city in 2025; implementing activities to check medical history and vaccinate children entering kindergartens and primary schools in the city.

The Department of Health is the focal point, advising the City People's Committee to deploy vaccination activities in the area; directing medical units to coordinate with local authorities in implementing effective solutions to increase vaccination rates, especially for vaccines that have not reached the set vaccination rate; reviewing, advising, and reporting to competent authorities on supplementing and allocating sufficient funding and human resources to effectively deploy expanded vaccination activities in the area.

Direct medical examination and treatment facilities that have implemented hepatitis B vaccination for newborns to organize hepatitis B vaccination for newborns within 24 hours after birth according to regulations. Direct units to provide information to the press to proactively communicate widely, promptly, accurately and fully to the people and community about the expanded immunization program.

Strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to have children of the expanded immunization age and pregnant women actively participate in vaccination, on schedule, with sufficient doses to proactively prevent disease.

The Department of Education and Training coordinates with the health sector to promote communication activities in schools; disseminate the benefits of vaccination against infectious diseases in children, especially vaccines included in the expanded immunization program.

At the same time, direct schools and affiliated centers to coordinate with local health agencies to review children's vaccination history and coordinate in setting up vaccination points and organizing vaccination during vaccination campaigns at schools. Urgently complete the investigation of children's vaccination history in the 2025-2026 school year and hand over the records to local health agencies to implement catch-up vaccination for children immediately after the Ministry of Health allocates vaccines.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed press agencies in the city and grassroots broadcasting systems to propagate the benefits and effectiveness of vaccination to raise people's awareness and actively participate in vaccinating children on schedule and with the right doses.

People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones urgently deploy solutions to increase vaccination rates for vaccines that have not reached the rate according to data provided by the health sector.

Direct departments and offices to monitor the implementation of vaccination plans in the area to mobilize local forces to coordinate with the health sector in reviewing, making lists, and inviting children to be vaccinated in the area; ensure that no subjects eligible for vaccination in the management area are missed; direct schools under management to coordinate with local health agencies to review vaccination history, coordinate in setting up vaccination points, and organize vaccination at schools.
