According to the Organizing Committee, from 1961 to 1971, the US military sprayed over 80 million liters of toxic chemicals on our country, of which 61% was Agent Orange containing over 366 kg of dioxin - an extremely toxic substance that world science calls "human poison".

In particular, Dong Nai province is one of the “hot spots” of dioxin contamination. In 1969, at Bien Hoa Airport, more than 28,000 liters of Agent Orange were spilled into the environment, causing serious consequences that last until today. Many areas of land, rivers and lakes still need to be treated and renovated; thousands of families still have to bear the pain of Agent Orange in their daily lives.

Since 1995, the Chemical Corps has investigated, isolated and treated hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of dioxin-contaminated soil at hot spots such as Da Nang , Phu Cat and Bien Hoa airports; coordinated with international corporations to test and master the technology of treating contaminated soil; and simultaneously implemented many programs to support, rehabilitate and improve the quality of life for tens of thousands of Agent Orange victims in the Central and Southern provinces, including Dong Nai.

Through the typical images, documents and artifacts displayed at Dong Nai Museum, it helps viewers and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists better understand the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam; the concern of the Party, the State, the political system; the army and people of the whole country in general, the Chemical Corps, Military Region 7, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels and Dong Nai province in particular in the work of overcoming the consequences of toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam; and to pay tribute to and commend outstanding organizations and individuals.

From there, the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source" has spread widely in the community, sharing difficulties, continuing to join hands to support victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and thoroughly handling the environment contaminated with toxic chemicals after the war in Vietnam.

The exhibition is open to the public and visitors until December 14.
