Exhibition "Special national relic Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam" at Dak Lak Museum

Towards the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, on November 14, Dak Lak Museum opened the exhibition “Special National Monument of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam” to introduce to the public of Dak Lak a special cultural space of the land of Thang Long - where the quintessence of studiousness of Vietnamese people for nearly a millennium has crystallized.

The exhibition is organized according to a clear and scientific thematic system, helping the public access the heritage through many layers of information, including: Overview of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam and the typical architectural system; Famous people and the tradition of Vietnamese mandarin examinations with the Doctorate Steles - a world documentary heritage recognized by UNESCO; cultural, scientific activities, heritage education , foreign affairs, scientific seminars; exhibitions, workshops, night tours of the Temple of Literature.

Students visit the exhibition.

Through that, visitors can admire and learn more about the history and architecture of the Temple of Literature - a symbol of the intelligence and studious spirit of the Vietnamese people such as: Dien Dai Thanh, Van Mieu Mon, Khue Van Cac, especially the 82 doctoral steles - a world documentary heritage, engraved with the names of 1,307 graduates of 82 examinations held from 1442 - 1779.

When visiting the exhibition, the public, especially students and teenagers, can also experience interesting activities such as: Writing ancient Chinese characters with a brush pen, printing woodblocks of Doctorate Steles, exploring the Confucian student classroom model, learning how to bind books on traditional Do paper...

The exhibition is expected to last for 1 month.
