On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), on the afternoon of November 14, 2025, Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum in collaboration with Hue Museum of Fine Arts organized the opening of the Exhibition "Connecting Nghe An - Hue Heritage Land" at Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum.

Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Mr. Bui Cong Vinh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An said: " Cultural heritage is the crystallization of the nation's intelligence, soul and character through thousands of years of history. It is memory, the source of strength, the identity that makes up the soul of Vietnam.
In the Central region, Nghe An and Hue are likened to two high and low notes in the symphony of Vietnamese culture. Each land has its own nuances, but they all share the same source of patriotism, humanity, love of learning and creativity.

If the ancient capital of Hue is considered the "heart of royal culture", Nghe An is known as the "cradle" of festivals, craft villages, historical relics imbued with the national identity and love of Nghe people. Despite the great geographical distance, the two lands of Hue - Nghe An are closely connected from tradition to history, creating a connection between the two lands.

The exhibition introduces more than 150 works of art and many valuable artifacts reflecting aspects of culture, landscape and people of Nghe An and Hue such as architectural works, historical relics, scenic spots, festivals... and experiential activities about Hue singing art, Sinh village folk paintings, Thanh Tien paper flowers, and Deng A Luoi weaving.
Each work and artifact on display is a beautiful memory of the cultural heritage of the two lands, contributing to spreading the message: Together we preserve and connect so that cultural heritage lasts forever.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai - Director of Hue Fine Arts Museum shared : "More than 150 works on display were selected from a collection of nearly 1,500 sketches about Hue currently preserved and developed by Hue Fine Arts Museum from 2020 to present. This is the result of the tireless creative journey of many architects, painters and art lovers - the authors who directly sketched the architectural works, landscapes and people of Hue."

Coming to the Exhibition, Hue Fine Arts Museum has selected content suitable for the display spaces to introduce typical features of Hue's tangible and intangible culture, hoping to introduce to the public the beauty of Hue through a unique and new perspective.

The Director of the Hue Fine Arts Museum also hopes that the Exhibition space will become a meaningful meeting place for heritage lovers to enjoy and spread the sustainable values of culture and tourism of the two regions in particular and of the nation in general.

The exhibition also showcases some typical intangible cultural heritages such as: Hue singing art, A Luoi Deng weaving, Sinh village folk paintings, Thanh Tien paper flowers of Hue and Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk songs, and Hoa Tien brocade weaving of Nghe An.

In particular, the unique highlight is the experience activity “Thanh Tien paper flowers – Sinh village paintings” appearing for the first time at Nghe An Museum – Soviet Nghe Tinh. Visitors will be able to directly make Thanh Tien paper flowers with the guidance of artisans, printing paintings from ancient woodblocks of Sinh village…

The heritage connection between two culturally rich lands, Nghe An - Hue, is expected to contribute to spreading and sustainably promoting the value of national cultural heritage in modern times.
The exhibition is open until December 2025 at Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum.
