Right from the early hours, the exhibition space attracted a large number of art lovers to enjoy, creating an emotional morning of painting.

The artistic space of soft dialogues
The opening ceremony brought the audience an emotional "harvest", where the beauty of nostalgia and dreamy poetry coexisted.
In this exhibition, artist Phung My Tram leads viewers into her own fairy tale world . Giant flowers, plump birds clinging to branches, children and women appearing dreamily, hazy with mist - all create a gentle and feminine painting tone.
Her colors and compositions evoke a sense of stillness, as if each painting holds a gentle, untold story.

On the contrary, Vo Ta Hung brings a memory of Vietnam with a strong rural character. His oil paintings recreate images of fields, bamboo banks, streams… with warm colors and deep strokes. Each work is like a familiar slice of childhood, making viewers feel like they are slowing down in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

Despite differences in style, the two artists’ paintings blend naturally when placed side by side. The contrast between dream and reality, nostalgia and romance becomes a soft dialogue, creating a special attraction for “New Season”.
“New Season” is the third joint exhibition of the two artists after more than three decades - a remarkable milestone in their creative journey.
Present at the opening ceremony, People's Artist Nhu Quynh expressed her passion for the paintings: oil paintings of the countryside and lotus flowers moved many people, making them recall their childhood memories and love the beauty of Vietnamese nature even more.
Painting expert, artist Le Huy Van, former Vice Principal of the University of Industrial Fine Arts (who regularly follows contemporary exhibitions), highly appreciated the combination of the couple painters Vo Ta Hung and Phung My Tram in this exhibition.
The painting "The Huc Bridge" - where red color awakens in the middle of peaceful water
Among the works on display, The painting "The Huc Bridge" by artist Vo Ta Hung is considered one of the most outstanding works in terms of technique and emotion. With the characteristic red color of the iconic bridge in Hanoi, the artist has processed the colors in the traditional oil painting style but with rich transitions and depth. From bright red to dark red, each layer of color is diluted, lightly rubbed and then thickly applied at the highlights, creating a visual effect that is both shimmering and ancient.

The composition of the painting shows refinement and sophistication: The Huc Bridge stretches across the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake, the light is treated in a reflective manner, highlighting the red patches on the turquoise water. Many viewers appreciate the artist’s skillful way of preserving the “Hanoi spirit” – not noisy, not showy, but gentle and full of dignity.
Fundraising Sketches: The Art of Sharing
In addition to the works on display, artist Phung My Tram introduced a number of sketches, which she decided to sell to raise funds to support people affected by the recent floods. All proceeds will be sent to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , as a way for her to spread the spirit of mutual love through art.

The sketches mainly depict daily life with rustic lines and rich emotions. Many viewers shared that they found warmth and humanity in them, making the artist's fundraising activities even more meaningful.
A new milestone after more than three decades of creation
Nearly 50 oil paintings were carefully selected this time, representing the exploration, innovation and sublimation in the creations of both artists.
According to artist Phung My Tram, “New Season” is not only the name of the exhibition, but also the attitude. It is the freshness in emotions, in the way of looking back at life and in the desire to create beautiful things to share with the public.
The exhibition is not simply a display of techniques, but a dialogue - between past and present, between dreams and reality, between the individual and the collective.

For artist Vo Ta Hung, paintings are a nostalgia for the homeland, a way back for the Vietnamese soul, a gentle reminder of childhood and simple yet profound values.
And when putting these two styles together, “New Season” becomes an affirmation: art is not only a view, but also an emotion - where the author and the viewer weave their own story, with colors, with memories, with hopes.
The exhibition lasts from November 27 to December 1. For those who are looking for a quiet moment in Hanoi at the end of the year, this is a rare opportunity to let their souls drift into the fairytale land of Phung My Tram and the village memories of Vo Ta Hung.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, “New Season” brings a sense of peace, like a gentle invitation for each person to find their own new season.
