This is the first propaganda art exhibition in the country to commemorate this momentous event, aiming to honor the 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly – the highest state power body, always accompanying the nation in the struggle for independence, building and defending the Fatherland, and in the process of reform and international integration.
The exhibition, running from November 14th to 29th, showcases 150 large-format propaganda posters, selected from professional and amateur artists nationwide.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), emphasized: The 80th anniversary of the first General Election is an opportunity for the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to review the history of the formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, affirming the great achievements that the National Assembly has achieved throughout the 80 years.
He argued that, through visual language and color, the works at the exhibition not only widely disseminated the historical significance of the first general election in 1946, but also expressed the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom, and their unwavering faith in the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh .
Through language, imagery, and the colors of the artworks, the exhibition conveys propaganda about the significance of the first general election; expresses the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom; and affirms the absolute faith of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in the patriotic spirit of our people.
