Exhibition of large-scale propaganda posters celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election Day

On the afternoon of November 14, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park (Rach Gia ward), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of An Giang province to organize the opening of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

This is the first propaganda painting exhibition in the country on the occasion of this important event, to honor the 80-year journey of formation and development of the National Assembly of Vietnam - the highest state power agency, always accompanying the nation in the cause of fighting for independence, building and defending the Fatherland, innovation and international integration.

The exhibition takes place from November 14 to 29, introducing 150 large-scale propaganda paintings selected from professional and amateur artists across the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), emphasized: The 80th anniversary of the first General Election is an opportunity for the entire Party, people and army to review the history of formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, affirming the great achievements that the National Assembly has achieved over the past 80 years.

He said that through the language of images and colors, the works at the exhibition not only widely propagate the historical significance of the first General Election in 1946, but also express the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom, and their steadfast belief in the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh .

Through the language, images and colors of the works, the exhibition conveys propaganda about the meaning of the first General Election; demonstrates the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom; and affirms the Party and President Ho Chi Minh's absolute belief in the patriotism of our people.
