On November 13, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province, said that the province's specialized units are completing the final tasks to prepare for the opening ceremony of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

As planned, the exhibition will display 150 carefully selected large-scale propaganda paintings, vividly depicting the following themes: Historical traditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly ; spirit of great national unity; people's mastery; and outstanding achievements of the country under the leadership of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of An Giang Province.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, over the years, An Giang province has always paid attention to, directed and created favorable conditions for cultural, artistic and exhibition activities to develop strongly, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, it effectively serves the propaganda work, political and ideological education and the task of socio-economic development of the locality.
In particular, organizing propaganda painting exhibitions has become a meaningful cultural activity, contributing to spreading humanistic values, promoting patriotism, civic awareness and building a civilized lifestyle in the community.
As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly, on the evening of November 15, at Hai Ba Trung Square, Long Xuyen Ward, An Giang Province, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Residential Area Mass Arts Festival will take place.
Participating in the Festival are 13 mass art troupes from the provinces: An Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Quang Ninh, Son La, Phu Tho; cities: Can Tho, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The groups will compete on the nights of November 16, 17, 18 and the awards ceremony will be held on the night of November 19.
