This special academic and cultural event was organized by the Embassy of Sweden in collaboration with RMIT University Vietnam. The exhibition “The Nobel Prize” brought students, lecturers and the public a new perspective on the contributions of Nobel Prize-winning scientists in solving global challenges.

The highlight was the dialogue session on the afternoon of September 15 with the theme "The role of AI in the future of learning and teaching" organized in both in-person and online formats, attracting nearly 300 delegates, including the Swedish Embassy, international scholars, business leaders and students.
From Sweden, three renowned scholars presented keynote papers. Dr. Gustav Källstrand, Senior Curator of the Nobel Museum, analyzed the management and the changing image of the Nobel Prize over time.
Professor Ulf Danielsson, member of the Nobel Committee for Physics, shares the prize selection process and reflects on the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics being awarded to artificial intelligence. Professor Virginia Dignum, Umeå University, emphasizes the need to develop AI in a trustworthy, collaborative way and prioritizing social benefits.

The discussion also featured experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, Ericsson, Tetra Pak and academia. The content focused on the impact of AI on teaching, necessary digital skills for learners, data security challenges and cooperation models between government, universities and businesses.
Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Johan Ndisi affirmed: “The Nobel Prize is a symbol of human achievements and the spirit of global cooperation. This event not only honors innovation but also affirms Sweden’s support for Vietnam’s digital transformation process.”

The program is also a vivid demonstration of the two countries upgrading their relationship to a Strategic Partnership in the fields of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in June 2025. Sweden continues to demonstrate its role as a partner accompanying Vietnam, from humanitarian assistance to cooperation in green technology and artificial intelligence.
