The 5th International Exhibition and Conference on Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Production and Processing in Vietnam (HortEx Vietnam 2023) opened on March 1, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event was organized by Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertising Services Company (VEAS) under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development .
The exhibition attracted strong interest from nearly 200 brands from 25 countries and territories: Belgium, China, Republic of Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Vietnam...
In particular, the exhibition also has the participation of national pavilions such as the Netherlands, Türkiye, Taiwan (China) and Vietnam. In particular, the Netherlands national pavilion is large in scale with 33 participating enterprises.
Notably, the exhibition is divided into exhibition areas such as: International flower exhibition area (Flower Showcase): focusing on many precious flowers from Germany, the Netherlands, Dalat Hasfarm... such as Tulips, Roses, Phalaenopsis orchids, Red sail flowers... Fruit exhibition area (Premium Fruit Showcase) supports export promotion: gathering Vietnamese fruit specialties such as coconut, durian, dragon fruit, mango, avocado, grapefruit, tangerine...
Parallel to the exhibition are activities such as: Seminar; Export Forum; Gardener Discussion; Business Connection Program; International flower and Vietnamese fruit display area...
The seminar program took place over 3 days from March 1-3, with useful topics shared by leading leaders and experts from the Department of Crop Production, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Netherlands Embassy, the Vietnam-Netherlands Agricultural Business Cooperation Association, Dalat Hasfarm, international businesses and organizations.
The Export Forum took place over 2 days, March 1-2, with a lot of information, policies, and regulations revolving around the main topics: Fresh Fruits and Vegetables for Export, Processed Fruits and Vegetables for Export (managed by the Asia - Africa Market Department and the Department of Quality - Processing and Market Development).
Grower Talks: held on the morning of March 3, 2023, led by leaders of the Department of Crop Production and the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, with the participation of typical gardeners and hundreds of farmers from provinces and cities.
