
Hai Ba Trung Street - Ninh Kieu Park area was flooded due to high tide flowing through the park.
Specifically, at 1:30 a.m. this morning, the peak tide measured at Can Tho Hydrological Station on Hau River reached 2.03 m (0.09 m higher than the water level on the morning of November 13). The peak tide rose abnormally and was recorded to appear earlier than before. Low-lying areas continued to be deeply flooded due to the high tide, however, the flooding appeared early, limiting the impact on people's daily life, travel, and shopping.

Cai Khe fishing port is being strengthened to prevent high tides from flooding the core urban area of Can Tho city.
Can Tho City Hydrometeorological Station said that the high tide appeared early and suddenly rose due to the influence of storm No. 14 in the East Sea, the Northeast monsoon blew strongly, pushing water into the mainland and coastal areas. In addition, rain appeared, cold air was flowing, so the possibility of the high tide at the end of September and the beginning of October of the lunar calendar was equivalent to the high tide at the end of August and the full moon of September of the lunar calendar.
Can Tho City leaders continue to direct specialized units to manage and operate well the ship locks, sluices, pumping stations, and tide-prevention valves to prevent flooding in the core areas of the city's central wards; continue to mobilize forces to support and guide traffic on deeply flooded roads in the coming days; check and avoid flooding at Ninh Kieu Park, urban areas and protect the dykes of islets, agricultural production areas, aquaculture...
