Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board to carry out the procedures for preparing the investment in the Tan Hien bridge construction project connecting Dong Nai province with Ho Chi Minh City. The Board is to prepare the investment proposal dossier (pre-feasibility study report or investment proposal report) for the project and submit it for appraisal according to regulations. The results are to be completed by March 2026.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Construction to take the lead in guiding relevant localities to carry out procedures for adjusting and updating construction planning related to the Tan Hien bridge construction project. The Department of Agriculture and Environment will take the lead in guiding localities through which the project passes to carry out procedures related to updating and adjusting land use planning and land acquisition for the project.
In addition, the Department of Finance will review and balance the budget, advising the Provincial People's Committee to report to the competent authority on the allocation of funds for the project when all necessary conditions regarding documentation and funding are met.
Previously, on February 5, 2026, the Government Office sent a document to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, informing them of the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha regarding the assignment of the managing agency for the Tan Hien Bridge Construction Project. Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreed with the local authorities' proposal to assign the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province as the managing agency for the Tan Hien Bridge Construction Project.
The Tan Hien bridge project spans the Dong Nai River, connecting Thuong Tan commune (Ho Chi Minh City) with Tan Trieu ward (Dong Nai province). According to the plan, the Tan Hien bridge will have an investment scale of 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles.
