Triumph has taken the wraps off the 2026 TF 250-X, revealing a host of updates to the professional motocross machine. The changes come as the bike enters its third competitive season and promise improved power delivery, body control and component durability. First up is the new airbox and muffler, designed to increase airflow while complying with Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and American Motorcycle Association (AMA) noise regulations.
The improved intake/exhaust system is combined with an updated ECU map. Triumph claims this system provides more responsive throttle response and improved torque across the rev range. Helping to deliver that extra power is a new Exedy clutch, with significantly improved load capacity. The Hinckley-based brand says the new clutch offers better steering feel and better wear resistance in continuous racing conditions. While low-end power and torque have been tweaked, peak power figures remain the same as before, with 47.4 horsepower coming at 13,500 rpm.
The suspension has also been revised, with the standard KYB forks front and rear getting revised damping settings to improve mid-travel control and chassis balance. Rounding out the changes are minor revisions including a reshaped oil gauge window for improved visibility, a new battery tray layout designed to simplify maintenance and new racing decals. The upgraded bike will still be available through Triumph's off-road dealer network, with a starting price in the UK of £9,395.
The first upgraded Triumph TF 250-X dirt bikes are expected to arrive in dealerships this summer, with race-ready models set to arrive in 2026. Video : Introducing the 2026 Triumph TF 250-X dirt bike.
