Referee Vo Minh Tri on duty in Chinese Super League?

(TNO) If nothing changes, on September 21, referee Vo Minh Tri will leave for the Chinese Super League (CSL) at the invitation of the country's Football Federation.

Recently, the Chinese Football Federation sent a dispatch to the Vietnam Football Federation asking for support and sending referee Vo Minh Tri to officiate at the Chinese Premier League.

According to the time stated in the invitation, referee Vo Minh Tri will most likely officiate a match in round 26, taking place on September 28.

Mr. Vo Minh Tri is a FIFA referee who has been abroad many times. However, this will be the first time Mr. Tri and also the only Vietnamese referee to have the opportunity to officiate in a domestic tournament in another country.

The above information has also been confirmed by the Head of the National Referee Board, Duong Vu Lam: "The purpose of CSL is to ensure fairness and objectivity, avoiding possible bias. The CSL organizing committee invited referee Vo Minh Tri because "Golden Whistle 2010" is the only Elite referee in Vietnam. Currently, there are only about 80 referees in the world on the Elite referee list."

VFF registers 19 FIFA-level referees and assistants

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Referee Board has registered the list of FIFA referees for Vietnam in 2013, including 5 male referees and 2 female referees.

In addition, there are 7 male assistant referees and 2 female assistant referees also registered in the FIFA assistant referee list.

Compared to the list of FIFA referees in 2012, men's football has 2 new nominees: referee Nguyen Duc Vu and referee Dinh Van Dung.

The 5 male FIFA referees include 3 old faces: Vo Minh Tri, Vo Quang Vinh and Phung Dinh Dung.

Surprisingly, referee Nguyen Trong Thu, who won the "Bronze Whistle" award for two consecutive years, was not on the list this year, because he voluntarily withdrew from the list because his injury had not fully recovered, making it difficult to pass FIFA's physical test.
