From 8 PM onwards, the city center, including Bach Dang Wharf, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, and Le Loi street, became a "sea of people" as people from all over flocked to visit the Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Horse and the 2026 Year of the Horse Book Festival.

Along Le Loi Street, the 2026 Lunar New Year Book Street Festival attracted a large number of locals and tourists who came to visit and buy books. Divided into three areas, the Lunar New Year Book Street Festival offered city residents and visitors enjoyable experiences on the first day of spring.
Ms. Le Thi Quyen, from Phu Dinh ward, said that since the Tet Book Street Festival was organized on Le Loi Street, she has visited and bought books every year. "This year I came to the Tet Book Street Festival earlier than in previous years to celebrate New Year's Eve in the city center," Quyen shared.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports , the Tet Book Street Festival is part of a series of year-round activities with the main goal of promoting reading and developing a reading culture. This activity aims to create a knowledge base not only for those who already love books but also to build a habit for new readers, helping them access knowledge through books.
Along with the Tet Book Street Festival, thousands flocked to visit Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet 2026. Many locals and tourists commented that this year's Tet Flower Street was more dazzling at night, creating a delightful experience for visitors.

For the first time in the 23-year history of the Flower Street, the Organizing Committee has boldly implemented two experiential versions, daytime and nighttime, in the same space on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street (Saigon ward), harmoniously combining traditional art and modern technology such as mapping, AR, and interactive lighting. This is a creative step, demonstrating the innovative spirit of Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, this year's Nguyen Hue Flower Street for Tet continues to be adorned with unique displays and artistic flower arrangements from the Consulates General of the United Kingdom, India, Laos, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, China, and Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City.

To create more diverse cultural activities during the spring season, the city also organizes performances of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music and nightly art programs in the area around the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park to attract tourists and spectators.
