On December 23, a working delegation of the Border Guard Party Committee and Command led by Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Border Guard, inspected and worked with the Quang Ninh Border Guard. Joining the working delegation were Major General Tran Van Bung, member of the Standing Committee of the Border Guard Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard, and representatives of the functional agencies of the Border Guard Command.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command reported to the working delegation on the results of the implementation of Border Guard work in 2024. Notably, the unit has thoroughly grasped and fully implemented the resolutions and directives of the Central Military Party Committee, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and the resolutions of the Border Guard Party Committee on military, defense and border guard tasks; organized forces to manage and firmly protect the territorial sovereignty and border security of the province; maintained political security, social order and safety in border areas, border gates and seaports.

Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard has also focused on leading and effectively implementing the work of Party building, building a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical"; strictly maintaining combat readiness; managing andeducating soldiers to strictly comply with discipline and laws, ensuring traffic safety; effectively deploying and implementing the work of fighting and preventing all types of crimes, especially crimes related to human trafficking, drug crimes, high-tech crimes, smuggling and trade fraud; combating illegal and unreported fishing (IUU)... Coordinating with forces and localities to do a good job of preventing and fighting natural disasters, and searching and rescuing.

In 2024, the Provincial Border Guard advised the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to direct the organization of a conference to review 5 years of implementing the People's Border Guard Day and to meet and commend Border Guard officers participating in building a strong border area in the period of 2019 - 2024 to ensure quality and effectiveness; organize a meeting to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day and the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day. Direct units to organize the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" in 2024 in the communes and wards in the border areas throughout the province; organize the People's Border Guard Festival in 2024 with good results.

Effectively and substantially launch the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2024). Implement models to help people develop socio-economic development; support the construction of Great Unity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and support poor households in Quang Ninh province to escape poverty, along with activities to care for people in border and island areas during Tet... with a total cost of 1.392 billion VND. Continue to help 6 households build "Model gardens" with an area of nearly 3 hectares (yellow camellia, green-skinned grapefruit, custard apple, guava...). The most typical model is the model of skillful propaganda and mobilization of people to participate in protecting the "peaceful border" of Mong Cai International Border Guard Station.

Continuing to effectively implement the Program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard Station" and the Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school", in 2024, the entire unit donated over 680 million VND to a total of 111 students in especially difficult circumstances, including 4 students in Son La province.

After listening to the report of the Provincial Border Guard Command on the results of the implementation of Border Guard work in 2024 by the leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Border Guard Command, acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results that the Quang Ninh Border Guard Command has achieved in the past time. He requested the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command to continue advising the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province and higher levels to do a good job in planning and appointing cadres at all levels according to instructions. During the planning, transfer and appointment process, it is necessary to follow the correct procedures, selecting the right people with sufficient qualities and abilities to perform well the assigned tasks.

Comrade Le Duc Thai also requested that the Quang Ninh Border Guard continue to pay attention to combining the excellent completion of political tasks with coordinating participation in consolidating the political system at the grassroots level, maintaining effective implementation of models to help people develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; build a strong national border defense. Strengthen political education, ideological management, internal protection; take good care of the material and spiritual life of soldiers; build a clean and strong Party organization, a strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary, typical".
