Exemplary village chief overcoming difficulties

Mr. Y Pam Byă in Hra Ea Hning hamlet (Dray Bhăng commune) is not only an exemplary hamlet leader, responsible for his work, but also has the will to overcome difficulties and escape poverty.

Y Pam's family used to be poor. In 2016, he borrowed 60 million VND from the preferential program for poor households of the Social Policy Bank to invest in raising cows and renting land to grow cassava. Thanks to diligent care, the first cassava crop brought his family a profit of 25 million VND. From the initial success, Y Pam and his wife decided to rent land for long-term cultivation.

Mr. Y Pam Byă propagates livelihood models to people and actively participates in movements in the area.

However, tragedy struck in 2017 when his wife passed away from stomach cancer, leaving behind three young children. In that situation, he still persevered to overcome the loss and continue working. In 2019, the local government supported him with 50 million VND to build a house, and he contributed another 50 million VND to complete the 42 m² house. Having a place to live, Y Pam and his children had more motivation to overcome difficulties.

Since 2022, Y Pam has shifted his investment to coffee cultivation. Thanks to careful care and constant learning of techniques, the coffee garden has developed steadily, with output increasing year by year. This year's harvest season, he expects to harvest about 700 kg of coffee beans, with a profit of about 50 million VND. In addition, he also raises 3 cows to have additional income and take advantage of fertilizer for the coffee garden.

In addition to working hours, Y Pam also works as a wedding MC for people in and outside the village, helping him earn extra income and contributing to community unity.

Not only is he hard-working, Mr. Y Pam is also enthusiastic about the work of the village. Having participated in the militia, he was elected by the villagers as Deputy Secretary of the Hra Ea Hning hamlet Party Cell in 2020, then as Secretary of the hamlet Party Cell in 2021. In 2024, he continued to be elected Head of Hra Ea Hning hamlet.

Mr. Y Pam Byă works hard to develop the family economy .

Through meetings and community activities, he guides people in economic development, production techniques, environmental protection, security and order maintenance, and implementation of local covenants and regulations. With sincerity and a sense of responsibility, he is a bridge to bring support programs and new techniques to the people, helping many households boldly borrow capital and apply effective economic models.
