Hanoi College of Electronics and Refrigeration received the Third Class Labor Medal

GD&TĐ - On November 12, Hanoi College of Electronics and Refrigeration celebrated its 60th anniversary and received the Third Class Labor Medal.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Quan, Deputy Minister of Education and Training ; Mr. Phan Van Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; leaders of ministries, central agencies and Hanoi City.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong sent a flower basket to congratulate the school.

Hanoi College of Electronics and Refrigeration was established in 1965, formerly known as the Water Resources High School - one of the first technical training institutions in the capital. After 60 years of construction and development, the school has overcome all difficulties and challenges, constantly developing to become a prestigious technical human resource training institution, contributing to the education and development of the capital as well as the country.

According to Principal Tran Xuan Ngoc, the school currently trains more than 2,000 students each year, with 26 majors. The school has been selected to train 5 key occupations (1 international level, 1 ASEAN level and 3 national levels); established cooperative relationships with more than 100 domestic and foreign enterprises, effectively implemented the "training associated with enterprises" model, ensuring that more than 95% of students have jobs after graduation.

With its important contributions, the school has been honored to receive many noble titles from the Party and State, including the First, Second, and Third Class Labor Medals and the Third Class Independence Medal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan acknowledged and congratulated Hanoi College of Electronics and Refrigeration for its efforts in building and maintaining conditions to ensure training quality, achieving many quality accreditation certificates, and establishing a wide cooperation network with many domestic and foreign enterprises.

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the fact that the school not only focuses on developing technical and technological skills on the basis of traditional professions, but also proactively grasps new trends, innovates in a "green" direction, promotes the development of digital skills, foreign language proficiency and professional qualities - factors that meet the increasing demands of the labor market and employers.

Appreciating the orientation of school development in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quan also informed that the National Assembly is meeting and is expected to pass the Law on Vocational Education (amended), in sync with the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education and the Law on Higher Education (amended). Along with that are a number of specific mechanisms and policies to develop education and training, implementing Resolution 71-NQ/TW on educational breakthroughs in the coming period. In particular, some very important points are designing and forming comprehensive connectivity in the education system; enhancing lifelong learning, focusing on capacity development, and comprehensive education for learners.

In that context, the Deputy Minister requested the Hanoi College of Electronics and Refrigeration to complete and review the school's development strategy in the coming period; in which, prioritizing quality, promoting training scale and linking with the supply of high-quality, highly qualified human resources; exchanging cooperation, expanding the scale of operations and area to serve vocational training.

At the same time, the school needs to continue to improve its organizational structure and professional structure; design a bridging program according to skill levels and qualifications; strengthen digital transformation and technology application; improve the quality of the teaching staff and increase the participation of businesses.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quan was authorized to award the Third Class Labor Medal to the school; Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Phan Van Hung was authorized to award the Third Class Labor Medal to Principal Tran Xuan Ngoc and the Faculty of Electricity and Automation.
