Northwest College of Culture and Arts celebrates its 60th anniversary.

On December 13th, the Northwest College of Culture and Arts held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th anniversary (December 17th, 1965 - December 17th, 2025).

Attending and offering congratulations were: Associate Professor Dr. Ta Quang Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Quach Tat Liem - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of several departments, agencies, and Hoa Binh ward; representatives of several universities, colleges, and vocational schools; and former leaders, officials, and lecturers from various periods.

The Northwest College of Culture and Arts, formerly the Northwest Vocational School of Culture and Arts, was established in 1965. In July 2005, it was upgraded to the Northwest College of Culture and Arts. Over 60 years of development, the school has continuously grown in scale and quality of training. The faculty and staff have become increasingly standardized, and the facilities have been comprehensively invested in by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the new campus becoming operational in 2009.

Along with that is a friendly, disciplined, and creative educational environment. Many generations of students from the school have grown up and contributed their strength and intellect to their homeland and country.

A spectacular art program to celebrate the anniversary.

In recognition of its significant contributions to the field of education, the Northwest College of Culture and Arts has been awarded many prestigious honors by the Party and the State: the First-Class Labor Medal (2010), Second-Class Labor Medal (2005, 2015), Third-Class Labor Medal (1995); the Government's Emulation Flag (2013, 2019); the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training ; and numerous Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and various ministries, sectors, and localities.

Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Northwest College of Culture and Arts over the past 60 years. He emphasized that over the past 60 years, the Northwest College of Culture and Arts has gone through many stages of development and growth, gradually affirming its position as an important cultural and artistic training institution in the northern mountainous region. The school has strived to overcome challenges, training tens of thousands of cultural officials, actors, artists, art teachers, and cultural management staff for the Northwest provinces.

The Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism suggested that in the coming time, the school should continue to innovate its training programs towards a streamlined and modern approach, closely linked to the practical needs of the locality and region; prioritizing training in specialized fields serving cultural work at the grassroots level, performing arts, cultural management, and tourism. It should also play a leading role in preserving the cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in the Northwest; promote research, restoration, and performance of traditional arts; connect with the community of artisans, and transmit and spread cultural identity.

Strengthening cooperation with domestic art schools, art troupes, cultural and tourism agencies to improve training quality, expand practical training spaces, and create job opportunities for students. Building a team of lecturers with strong expertise, extensive practical experience, creativity, and adaptability to the demands of innovation; strongly applying digital transformation in teaching and management...

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training presented a Certificate of Commendation to the Northwest College of Culture and Arts.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Northwest College of Culture and Arts for its many achievements in training and fostering cultural and artistic human resources, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the ethnic cultural identity of the Northwest region during the period 2020 - 2025; awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Dance Department; and awarded a Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Minh Cuong - Acting Principal of the Northwest College of Culture and Arts for his outstanding achievements in the period 2021 - 2025.

The Ministry of Education and Training awarded a Certificate of Merit to the school for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Innovation and Creativity in Management, Teaching and Learning in the period 2020-2025". The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to the school as a whole and to 5 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school's founding.
