When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the police.
During the days when the Central Highlands and South Central provinces were struggling to cope with the fierce floods, implementing the direction of General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, on the deployment of flood response and search and rescue work in the Central Highlands and South Central provinces, the People's Security University mobilized reserve combat forces to support the localities.

Accordingly, hundreds of students from the People's Security University quickly set off on duty, coordinating with local police forces and local authorities to carry out many activities to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, contributing to helping the authorities and people of the provinces overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
According to records, immediately after the widespread flooding in the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong, the school mobilized students to participate in rescue operations, with the spirit of "being ready to be where people need". Although still very young, many students had never experienced actual rescue work, but when receiving the task, they immediately set off enthusiastically, carrying with them the belief and ambition to save people in the flood.

For many days, groups of students were assigned to each deeply flooded residential area, carrying necessities, medicine, life jackets and other support materials to provide relief to the victims, bring the elderly and children to safety, and assist in cleaning up houses and the environment after the water receded. Many students had to soak in cold water for hours to reach isolated areas.
Student Luu Thanh Kiet - Platoon D31A2, People's Security University said that during his time in Dak Lak, the locality most severely damaged by floods and rains, witnessing the destruction of houses, roads being cut off, and people's lives being disrupted by natural disasters, this made him realize even more the responsibility of the People's Public Security force. It became even more evident that every action and every task that the Public Security force contributed, no matter how small, had practical meaning, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties soon.

Student Luu Thanh Kiet added that seeing the images of his comrades and teammates wading through floodwaters, cleaning up every piece of corrugated iron and every piece of wood lying around; witnessing the sunburnt hands of the people tightly holding the hands of the police force... all made him understand more deeply the responsibility and pride of wearing the green security uniform and only hoped that this land would quickly revive after the stormy days.

" My teammates and I promise to continue to study hard, practice political skills, and improve our expertise so that when assigned tasks in the future, I can be more steadfast and contribute more to the people, to my homeland, and to the Fatherland ," student Luu Thanh Kiet emotionally shared.
Command from the heart
Student Nguyen Cong Tuan - Platoon D32B2, People's Security University expressed that although he was not directly present at the support point, when following each image and each piece of information, he felt an indescribable emotion rising in his heart. It was not only a sharing in the pain of his compatriots, but also a pride in studying at a school with the glorious tradition of the People's Security force. "Go anywhere, do anything when the Fatherland and the People need" - that spirit was conveyed by the teachers in a truthful, strong and humane way in the school.

This support mission is not only a duty, but also a vivid lesson about the spirit of serving the people, about compassion, about the responsibility of a police officer in peacetime. It is also the clearest proof of comradeship and teamwork when everyone is ready to shoulder difficulties, support each other and work towards a common goal of helping the people and for the people.

“ I believe that the beautiful image of the People's Security University delegation during the rainy and flood days will forever instill in the hearts of the people the love and trust in the People's Public Security force. And for each of us, that will be a strong motivation to continue to strive, mature, and be ready to contribute to the Fatherland and the People, ” said student Nguyen Cong Tuan.
Talking to reporters, Colonel Nguyen Tran Hieu, Vice Principal of the People's Security University, emphasized: Sending forces to participate in responding to and supporting people in the Central Highlands and South Central provinces to overcome the consequences of floods, not only carries out the orders of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, but also is the "order from the heart" of all cadres, lecturers and students towards their beloved compatriots in times of difficulty and disaster. With the spirit of "Mutual love", "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", all cadres, lecturers and students of the People's Security University are always ready to set off to carry out their duties when the Fatherland and people need them.
