Hanoi Pedagogical University establishes 3 new schools, adds many training majors

Hanoi National University of Education established three new universities: University of Early Childhood Development Sciences, University of Educational Sciences, and University of Mathematics and Information Technology.

The newly established schools under Hanoi National University of Education have the following functions and tasks:

The School of Child Development focuses on comprehensive research on young children, from physiology, nutrition to developmental psychology, education and care. The School also undertakes the task of implementing interventions and therapies for children with special needs.

The University of Educational Sciences is positioned as a key training and research center, a place to develop and transfer knowledge in the field of educational sciences.

The University of Mathematics and Information Technology aims to become a modern training and research center, approaching international standards in the fields of mathematics and IT, promoting the development of science - technology and education in the context of digital transformation.

The establishment of new schools aims to implement the Prime Minister's Decision on planning the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

The draft Plan for the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (excluding schools under the Ministry of Public Security, National Defense, and pedagogical colleges) of the Ministry of Education and Training predicts that by 2030, the country will have about 250 higher education institutions and 50 branches, belonging to about 200 key institutions, distributed by regions.

Of these, there are about 30 key national institutions, including 5 national universities, 5 regional universities and 18-20 key multinational schools.

There are 11 universities nationwide, including: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Hanoi University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, National Economics University, Can Tho University, Duy Tan University and Phenikaa University.

It is expected that by 2030, Hue University, Danang University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology will develop into national universities.
