In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will enroll students according to 4 methods: (PT1) admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam organized by the school; (PT2) admission based on high school academic results combined with interviews; (PT3) direct admission based on the school's admission information for candidates who won national and provincial excellent student awards (or equivalent); (PT4) admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam.

For PT4, the minimum score applied to most training programs is 18 points, except for the Medical Science and Technology program which is 19 points; Pharmacy 20 points; Semiconductor Microchip Technology 24 points. Dual degree programs and Aviation Engineering programs do not use the results of the high school graduation exam for admission.

For the remaining 3 methods (PT1, PT2, PT3), the school uses its own scale (100-point scale) to evaluate candidates. The applied floor score ranges from 50 to 70 points, depending on the training program.

However, the threshold for ensuring input quality for health sector programs is the expected score, which can be adjusted according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Specifically, the floor scores of the training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2025 for each method are as follows:

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Deputy Head of the School's Admissions and Communications Department, said that the school continues to accept applications for the third round of admission for all three admission methods (PT1, PT2 and PT3) until July 21.

“With this admission round, candidates will be considered equally as in rounds 1 and 2. This is a favorable opportunity for candidates who have the ability and passion for science and technology, but have not achieved the desired results in the high school graduation exam,” said Ms. Hien.

Ms. Hien also noted that for candidates applying for admission to the school according to PT1, PT2 and PT3, the virtual screening on the Ministry of Education and Training system will be based on the scores of the admission method that they participated in at the school after converting to a 30-point scale. Candidates can check the converted scores on the school's admissions website (here).
