Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha - Head of Corporate Public Relations Department - In charge of enrollment of the University of Mining and Geology said that this year, the University of Mining and Geology will enroll 6 new majors, with a target of 100-200 students/major. These are majors that are trained according to the country's development.
Specifically, the majors are: Materials Engineering, Space Engineering, Urban and Construction Management, Resource and Mineral Management, English Language and Chinese Language.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha said that these are industries with great demand, meeting the country's development requirements, especially the development strategy of rare earth and strategic minerals.
Based on the high school graduation exam scores this year, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha predicts that the admission scores for the majors of the University of Mining and Geology in 2025 will be the same or lower than in 2024 (depending on the major). However, the decrease is not much.
Some majors such as economics and information technology of the University of Mining and Geology have increased their enrollment quota to 300-400 students. This is also the reason why the benchmark score may be lower than last year. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha advises candidates to refer to the benchmark scores of last year's training majors when registering for admission.

This year, the University of Mining and Geology will enroll students according to the following methods: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; Admission based on international certificates and academic records; Direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; Admission using the results of the thinking assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the capacity assessment of Hanoi National University; Admission based on high school academic results (Transcript).
