Tay Vinh Secondary School launched the club "I love traditional art"

(GLO)- On the evening of December 7, Gia Lai Traditional Arts Theater coordinated with Tay Vinh Secondary School (Binh An commune) to organize an exchange and launch the club "I love traditional arts".

This is an activity within the coordination program between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training on bringing the art of hat boi and bai choi into schools in the period 2023 - 2026.

In just 3 days of practice, artists from Gia Lai Province Traditional Arts Theater taught students of Tay Vinh Secondary School two traditional stage excerpts.

In which, the excerpt of the opera Quang Trung ascends to the throne was taught by Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh and artist Thai Phien. The excerpt of the opera Bai Choi Nu Tuong Bui Thi Xuan was taught by Meritorious Artist Thuy Dung and Meritorious Artist Phuong Phu.

Mr. Van Tuan Viet - Principal of Tay Vinh Secondary School - said: The People's Committee of Binh An commune has issued a decision to recognize the "I love traditional art" club's Organizing Committee of Tay Vinh Secondary School, consisting of 6 members.

“Based on the decision to recognize the Steering Committee of the “I love traditional arts” club of the commune, the school plans to establish a club with more than 30 members including teachers, parents and students of the school. The school will also organize experiential activities for students to perform the art of hat boi and bai choi at events... to promote the effectiveness of the model,” Mr. Viet added.

At the program, artists from Gia Lai Province Traditional Arts Theater also performed two excerpts of the opera Nguyet Co Hoa Cao and the opera Bai Choi Nuong Tua , and awarded students with good performances during the practice.

According to Meritorious Artist Huynh Thi Kim Chau, Deputy Director of Gia Lai Province Traditional Arts Theater, the establishment of the "I love traditional arts" club not only helps students access and practice local educational content but also contributes to fostering love for the traditional cultural values ​​of their homeland.
