Buon Ma Thuot High School gives gifts to support students in flood-affected areas

Buon Ma Thuot High School has just organized the program "Towards the East - Connecting Love" to support students at schools that suffered heavy damage after the recent historic flood in the eastern localities of the province.

Staff and teachers of Buon Ma Thuot High School put gifts and necessities on trucks to transport to schools in the East that were damaged by floods.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong, Principal of Buon Ma Thuot High School, in response to the losses caused by floods, the school's Board of Directors has called on all staff, teachers, students, parents and businesses in the area to join hands to contribute. Through the campaign, the school has raised nearly 83 million VND in cash from staff, teachers and students; all of this money was transferred to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Fund.

In addition, parents and many businesses also supported thousands of gifts, necessities... with a total value of nearly 400 million VND. Of which, Ngoc Thao Trading Company Limited supported 1,000 gifts including school bags, notebooks, pens, crayons... worth 200 million VND; other organizations and individuals contributed additional gifts worth nearly 200 million VND.

From mobilized resources, the school organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to students in flood-affected areas. At Hoa Dong Primary School (Hoa Thinh Commune), the delegation gave 500 gifts, each worth 200,000 VND; and 500 gifts to students of Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School (Hoa Thinh Commune), with a total value of 100 million VND. At Hoa Tri Kindergarten (Phu Hoa 2 Commune), the delegation gave 40 large blankets, 50 small blankets, 25 mosquito nets, 2 boxes of western medicine, 7 boxes of milk, and various kinds of dry food and candies. Le Hong Phong High School (Tay Hoa Commune) was supported with 750 notebooks, 70 boxes of mineral water, 70 boxes of instant noodles and other necessities...

The program not only contributes to sharing difficulties with students in flood-affected areas but also educates students of Buon Ma Thuot High School in the spirit of mutual love and support in times of hardship and difficulty.
