Hong Lam College of Economics and Technology held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An, departments, branches, localities, cooperating units, along with a large number of officials, teachers, former teachers and students of the school.

Hong Lam College of Economics and Technology was established in 2005 and converted into a private school in 2008, becoming the first private college in Nghe An. In 2011, the school was received by the University of Electricity and oriented to develop according to the vocational education model associated with practical needs.

Currently, the school has 19 training codes for the intermediate level; 11 training codes for the elementary level; The school's training majors fully meet the needs of the current economic and social sectors such as: Trade and services; tourism ; industry, logistics and high-tech industry. There are many training majors that attract many students such as: Hotel and Restaurant Business, Food Processing Technology, Industrial Electricity, Logistics, Mechatronics. In addition, Language majors such as: Korean, Chinese also attract many students.

After many stages of change and improvement, the school currently maintains a training scale of about 3,000 students/year. The quality of education is an important support of the school: the secondary school graduation rate is 98%, the high school graduation rate is 98-100%, many students achieve high scores in provincial exams.

The business cooperation network is one of Hong Lam's strengths, with many large units such as Honda Vietnam, LG, Luxshare ICT Nghe An, Muong Thanh Group... and international partners in Korea, Japan, Australia and Taiwan. Every year, most of the graduates are introduced to jobs or continue their studies at affiliated institutions.

Over the past two decades, the school has trained 13,957 secondary school students, 3,750 high school students, 1,974 college and university students and 4,462 primary school students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung - Principal of the school reviewed the formation and development process of Hong Lam. He emphasized: the past 20 years have been a journey full of "challenges but also great pride", because from a non-public educational institution with many difficulties, the school has risen to affirm its brand and position in the vocational education system of Nghe An province.

Teacher Phan Xuan Dung also expressed his deep gratitude to generations of leaders, teachers and staff who have contributed to building the school; to parents and students who have trusted and chosen Hong Lam; and to domestic and foreign partners who have accompanied the school in training and introducing jobs to students.

At the ceremony, comrade Ho Thi Chau Loan - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training, sent her deep congratulations to the staff and teachers of the school on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, and highly appreciated the contributions of Hong Lam College of Economics and Technology over the past 20 years.

Comrade Ho Thi Chau Loan also suggested that the school continue to innovate training methods towards practical learning - practical work, strengthen connections with businesses and apply technology in management and teaching. The Department of Education and Training will continue to accompany and support Hong Lam to promote its strengths, becoming a pioneer in the province's vocational education system.
