On the afternoon of May 24, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a memorial service and burial ceremony for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought, served in combat, and heroically sacrificed during the war on the Cambodian battlefield.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Y Bier Nie, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; H'Yim Kđoh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515; Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Major General Nguyen Dinh Tien, Deputy Commander of Military Region V; Delegation of the government and armed forces of Mondulkiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia) and representatives of departments, branches, units, localities and people in the province.

After nearly 7 months of climbing passes, wading streams, and traversing forests, officers and soldiers of Team K51 have searched for, recovered, and repatriated the remains of 22 martyrs; all of whom have yet to be identified.

Reading the eulogy at the memorial and burial ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 H'Yim Kđoh affirmed: Our Party, State and people are very proud and infinitely grateful for the heroic fighting and noble sacrifices of the heroic soldiers, the previous generations of fathers and brothers and generations of revolutionary soldiers. Continuing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", we will do well the movements of "Repaying gratitude" with the desire to ease the pain of loss of fathers, mothers, wives, children and partly compensate them for having a stable life in terms of material and happy in spirit...

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegates offered incense and flowers to express their gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs. After the memorial service and incense offering, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organized the burial of 22 martyrs' remains according to military rites.
