On the afternoon of February 6th, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a ceremony to announce the Khanh Hoa Provincial Tourism Development Strategy for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045.
According to the strategy, by 2030 Khanh Hoa strives to become an international marine tourism and service center, with the marine economy as the foundation and tourism as the leading economic sector, gradually asserting its position as a typical destination in Southeast Asia.
Provincial tourism is being developed with a clear, easily recognizable brand and a unified, self-contained ecosystem.
Specifically, the strategy sets a target of achieving total revenue from tourists of approximately 9 billion USD, with the service and tourism sector contributing 20% to the GRDP.
The entire province is expected to welcome 33 million visitors, of which international tourists will account for 40-45%; the average length of stay will reach 4-5 days per visitor, and spending will increase 1.5-2 times compared to 2025.
The accommodation sector comprises approximately 100,000 rooms, with 75% meeting 3-5 star standards, creating jobs for over 300,000 direct and indirect workers.
By 2045, Khanh Hoa's tourism sector aims to be globally recognized as one of Asia's leading beach tourism destinations, strongly developing high value-added products and services, contributing to increasing the proportion of the service sector in the province's economic structure.
The targets for the period 2030-2045 will be updated flexibly, ensuring the maintenance of double-digit growth in the tourism industry.

The strategy also identifies six key strategic groups, including developing Khanh Hoa into a leading destination, building a destination brand, enhancing connectivity and accessibility, elevating the visitor experience, securing financial resources, and strengthening smart governance.
Accordingly, there are 36 key tasks and solutions, focusing on improving institutions, planning and infrastructure, product development, digital transformation, diversifying customer markets, enhancing human resource quality, and attracting investment.
Notably, the strategy emphasizes the role of digital transformation, green transformation, modern destination management (DMO), night-time economic development, and iconic tourism products associated with cultural and heritage values such as bird's nest, agarwood, Cham culture, and the Katê festival, in order to create a unique and distinctive identity for Khanh Hoa tourism.
