From Da Nang to An Giang, proactively respond to tropical depression near the East Sea

On the afternoon of November 28, the Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 35/CD-BCĐ-BNNMT on responding to the tropical depression near the East Sea.

Telegrams sent to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Da Nang to An Giang; Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Science and Technology; Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam .

Accordingly, a tropical depression is currently active in the coastal area of ​​East Malaysia. At 1 p.m. on November 28, the center of the tropical depression was at about 4.1 degrees North latitude; 104.3 degrees East longitude; the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6-7, gusting to level 9. The tropical depression moved northeast at a speed of about 15 km/h.

To proactively respond to the tropical depression, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requested the People's Committees of provinces, cities and ministries and branches to closely monitor the development of the tropical depression; strictly manage means of transport at sea; organize counting and notify owners of means of transport, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and development of the tropical depression to proactively avoid, escape or not move into the dangerous area. Dangerous areas in the next 24 hours: South of latitude 7 degrees North; from longitude 104 - 108.6 degrees East (dangerous areas are adjusted in forecast bulletins); be ready with forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.

Ministries and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to tropical depressions.

Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, the coastal information station system and mass media agencies from central to local levels should increase information on the developments of the tropical depression to authorities at all levels, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to proactively respond.

The Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee requests the above units to seriously organize on-duty shifts and regularly report to the National Civil Defense Steering Committee (through the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ).
