From July 21 to 25, flood warning on rivers in Thanh Hoa

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, water levels on rivers in the Red River - Thai Binh river system, Ma River (Thanh Hoa province), Ca River (Nghe An province) are fluctuating and below the warning level (WAR)1.

From July 21-25, there was a flood on rivers in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces, with flood amplitude on rivers ranging from 3-6m.

High risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas in the Northern Delta, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces; flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in mountainous areas of the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces. Flood risk warning level: Level 2

Floods on rivers and streams can cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, affecting activities such as water transport, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's lives and socio-economic activities.
