From belief to action: MB and the community build a safe and sustainable digital environment

In the digital age, data has become the most valuable asset of every organization and also the most attractive target for cybercriminals. Data protection is no longer the sole responsibility of technology experts, but a shared responsibility of the whole society to maintain trust and safety in the national cyberspace.

On October 25, 2025, the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, also known as the Hanoi Convention, took place in Hanoi with the theme "Combating Cybercrime - Sharing Responsibility - Looking Towards the Future". The event marked a historic milestone not only for the international community but also affirmed the position, prestige and role of Vietnam in global cyber security cooperation.

Accompanying this important event, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) is honored to be one of the typical Vietnamese enterprises participating in the technology exhibition area jointly organized by the Government of Vietnam and the United Nations Secretariat. Here, MB introduces its digital banking ecosystem and advanced cybersecurity solutions, demonstrating its technological capabilities and strong commitment to building a safe, transparent and sustainable digital space.

With the orientation of "Digital banking for the digital community", MB constantly innovates to improve user experience, while ensuring absolute safety for the system and customers. Currently, 99.7% of MB's transactions are conducted via digital channels, 40% of revenue comes from digital platforms and the MBBank App has reached 35 million users, for 5 consecutive years in the group of most downloaded banking applications in Vietnam.

Along with the strong growth in transaction volume, MB has built a digital security infrastructure. In 2022, the bank developed and put into operation the Cyber ​​Security Intelligence System - MTI, a platform for collecting, analyzing and sharing knowledge about cyber threats according to international standards.

Not stopping there, in 2024, MB continues to develop the Social Network Intelligence (SNI) Solution, a platform for monitoring and analyzing news on cyberspace, applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology to identify and warn early of fraudulent and fraudulent campaigns, promptly warning customers.

These efforts show that MB is not only protecting itself but also contributing to the protection of personal financial security and digital trust of Vietnamese people.

Ms. Do Que Anh, Deputy Director of MB Operations, shared: “Participating in the Hanoi Convention Commitment Signing event is a way for MB to affirm its commitment to protecting customer information and strictly handling information security violations if they arise. MB has proactively cooperated with authorities to continuously update the list of fraudulent accounts, warning customers immediately when there is a risk of transferring money to suspicious accounts.”

MB is also one of the units that actively responded to the "Digital Trust" Campaign and announced 5 recommendations for protecting personal finances, helping people improve their skills in avoiding online risks. The bank regularly coordinates with authorities to update the list of fraudulent accounts, provide early warnings of suspicious transactions and strictly handle acts of violating customer information.

MB's presence at the Hanoi Convention Opening Ceremony is not only a source of pride for the banking industry, but also a testament to the pioneering role of Vietnamese enterprises in protecting national digital security.
