The rice noodle production model of Mrs. Dinh Thi Loc in zone 18, Tu Vu commune brings stable income for her family.

Visiting the family of member Dinh Thi Loc in zone 18, a typical farmer member in the emulation movement to do good business . Previously, Ms. Loc's family had a traditional profession of making vermicelli and cakes. Ms. Loc shared: In 2022, the family boldly invested in opening a dry rice noodle factory with an area of 1,000m2. Thanks to the application of machinery and a stable production process, the factory produces nearly 300kg of noodles per day. Up to now, the dry rice noodle product has been branded Quan Lich Rice Noodles, achieved 3-star OCOP and consumed in many places inside and outside the province, bringing in an income of over 300 million VND/year, creating jobs for 5 regular workers in the locality with an income of 7-8 million VND/person/month.

Farmers' Associations at all levels select feasible models, prioritize households with conditions and encourage participation in collective economic organizations to effectively promote capital sources for the Farmers' Support Fund. In Hoang Xa commune, the Agricultural and Service Cooperative was established in 2024 with 27 members; in early 2025, 800 million VND of the Farmers' Support Fund was disbursed to 16 households to implement the project to improve guava quality. Thanks to that, the guava area increased from 10 hectares to more than 14 hectares, producing in the direction of safety, VietGAP; productivity reached 50 tons/ha, income over 500 million VND/year, helping Hoang Xa guava to be consumed stably and increase its value.

Tu Vu Commune Farmers' Association was merged from 3 communes Dong Trung, Tu Vu and Hoang Xa, currently has 6,420 members, operating in 58 branches. The Commune Farmers' Association has propagated and mobilized cadres and members to promote the will and determination to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and strive to get rich; taking advantage of the local potential and advantages to develop suitable economic models. From 2023 to present, more than 5,200 farming households have registered to participate in the movement (reaching 106% of the plan); through evaluation, more than 3,800 households have achieved the title of good production and business households at all levels (reaching 95% of the plan).

The whole commune currently has hundreds of economic development models owned by members, with income from 200 million VND/year to billions of VND or more, such as members Le Manh Cuong and Le Dinh Huong with a comprehensive farm model; Mr. Bui Huy Binh's household with a service business model; Mr. Le Dinh Thanh's household with a model of raising porcupines, bamboo rats, and honeybees; Mr. Nguyen Van Phu and Mr. Nguyen Van Dau's households raising rabbits; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tue raising deer for velvet; a model of raising fish in cages on Phuong Mao Lake.... These models not only create income for the household owners but also create jobs for many local workers.

Cooperative members share experiences in proper guava care

Tu Vu Commune Farmers' Association focuses on supporting members to access resources and production knowledge, bringing the economic development movement into depth. The Association coordinates with the Social Policy Bank to create conditions for 1,217 households to borrow nearly 70 billion VND through 30 loan groups, strictly managing, ensuring safety and efficiency. The Commune's Farmers' Support Fund reached 1.8 billion VND, disbursed to 4 projects with 36 participating households, contributing to expanding production models and increasing income. Every year, the Association coordinates with sectors to organize training and transfer modern farming and livestock techniques.

Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association Nguyen Anh Tu emphasized: each successful economic model is a "seed" that greens the rural picture of Tu Vu; when farmers are supported promptly and experience is shared, it will be the foundation for sustainable development.

Thanks to the mindset of daring to think, daring to do and effective models, Tu Vu countryside is changing clearly; people's lives are increasingly improving. The economic development emulation movement not only brings a prosperous life to each family but also fosters a united, dynamic, creative farming community, contributing to building a rich, beautiful and civilized Tu Vu.
