


In his opening speech, Journalist To Quang Phan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival - warmly welcomed delegates, distinguished guests, and 25 delegations of athletes from central press agencies, Hanoi and a number of provinces and cities.
In 2025, the Hanoi Journalists Association will mark 30 years since it has organized the expanded Sports Festival. Looking back over the past time, the Hanoi Journalists Association is pleased to see that with each Sports Festival, more units and press agencies have registered to participate; many athletes have strived to compete, bringing overall achievements to the unit and making the sports movement of the press in the area increasingly develop.

"It can be affirmed that the Sports Festival is a healthy and beneficial sports playground, demonstrating solidarity, attachment and exchange between journalists in the capital with press management agencies, central press agencies, ministries, branches and a number of units and Journalists' Associations of neighboring provinces and cities," emphasized journalist To Quang Phan.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes enthusiastically competed in 6 events within the framework of the Health Festival including: tug of war, mini football, athletics walking, chess, badminton and table tennis.
The Hanoi Moi Newspaper's athlete delegation competed in four events: Tug of war, walking, table tennis, and soccer, and all had athletes winning medals.

The Sports Festival will continue with competitions before closing on the afternoon of November 28.

The 30th Hanoi Journalists Association Sports Festival - 2025 is a meaningful event to celebrate the important anniversaries of the country and the capital in 2025, to welcome the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, and towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
