Can Tho youth join forces to respond to "Green Sunday"

(CT) - On July 20, Binh Thuy Ward Youth Union coordinated with Long Tuyen Ward Youth Union, Tan An Ward Youth Union and Can Tho University of Technology and Technology Youth Union, Viettel Binh Thuy Youth Union, to launch "Green Sunday" in conjunction with activities commemorating the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

At Long Tuyen Martyrs Cemetery, 400 union members and young people offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs; at the same time, they cleaned up, cleared grass and bushes in the cemetery; cleaned incense burners and replaced 1,000 lotus flowers at all martyrs' graves. This is a practical activity demonstrating the youth's morality of remembering the source of water when drinking water to pay tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.

According to Can Tho City Youth Union, on July 20, all commune and ward Youth Unions in Can Tho City simultaneously launched a campaign to respond to "Green Sunday", with many environmental protection activities associated with the gratitude movement. Youth Unions focused on organizing environmental sanitation on roads and residential areas; propagating the prevention of plastic waste, instructing on waste classification at source; planting trees and implementing a model of tree nursery; repairing, embellishing, and cleaning steles, memorials, memorial houses, and martyr cemeteries throughout the city...
