Recorded on November 1, when the rain had just stopped, more than 100 students from the University of Economics - Danang University were present at Dai Minh Kindergarten and Le Quy Don Secondary School (Vu Gia commune, Danang city).

Not minding the muddy roads, the young people quickly divided into groups and started cleaning up the mud, wiping down tables and chairs, rearranging school supplies, and cleaning the schoolyard – all so that the schools could soon be revived after the recent flood.

The mud was still thick and the schoolyard was slippery, but everyone’s eyes shone with determination. “This is the first time I’ve seen houses and schools destroyed by floods. It’s heartbreaking, but I also admire the people for their resilience,” said Truong Quang Nhat Minh, a student in class 48K27 of the Faculty of Political Theory.

The University of Science and Technology - Danang University also organized the third volunteer campaign, mobilizing 100 students to clean up at schools in Nam Phuoc commune (Da Nang city) such as: Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School, Duy Vinh Kindergarten, Duy Phuoc 2 Primary School, Duy Vinh Primary School.

The day before, 50 Polytechnic students also went to Phan Boi Chau Primary School (Dien Ban Tay Commune, Da Nang City) to help clean up mud, tables, chairs, and classrooms.

Nguyen Thi My Duyen, a student of class 23KTHH1, emotionally said that when they arrived, everyone was surprised by the devastation, houses and schools were flooded with mud, tables and chairs were severely damaged. The most pitiful thing was that the children had to temporarily stop going to school, but that was why we tried even harder.

“Even though we had to wade through mud and work all day, everyone was happy to be able to contribute a little bit to help people stabilize their lives soon. These experiences made me appreciate more the value of sharing and solidarity in the community,” Duyen shared.

Not only stopping at supporting cleaning activities at schools, since 2 days ago, the University of Technology's Youth Union has reviewed and collected information on affected students and households to arrange direct support forces. The school also mobilized to give gifts and necessities to students in difficulty, contributing to spreading the spirit of "mutual love".

At the same time, Danang College also established a team of student volunteers to each locality, supporting people to repair electrical equipment, motorbikes, and fix damages in their homes. At the same time, the "Zero-dong Supermarket" - a familiar charity model of the school continued to call for donations of clothes and items to send to people in flood-affected areas.

After the storm, joining hands with the military, police, organizations and unions, Da Nang youth contributed to cleaning up the streets and schools, helping people overcome difficulties, and together writing a beautiful story about community strength.

On the afternoon of November 1, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City, directly visited, encouraged and gave gifts to people in Dien Ban ward and Go Noi commune, areas heavily affected by recent floods.
