Youth of Ca Mau Health Sector: Journey to the source and volunteering for community health in Vinh Hau commune

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Revolutionary Tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province (December 13, 1940 - December 13, 2025) and welcome the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ca Mau province, term 2025 - 2030.

With the pioneering spirit of the youth in the medical sector, the working group mobilized a team of doctors and volunteers to provide quality medical services to local people. At the Vinh Hau Commune Cultural House, the group organized general medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution for about 300 people.

In particular, the program focuses on preventive and specialized medical activities: Screening and counseling for eye diseases (cataracts) for the elderly. Organizing mosquito nets with insecticides, propagating dengue fever prevention in the community. Promoting HIV/AIDS prevention communication and introducing the benefits of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to local youth groups - an effective and safe preventive measure.

Along with professional work, the journey back to the source is also an opportunity for young people in the health sector to express their deep gratitude. The delegation presented 10 gifts to veterans, wounded soldiers and 50 gifts to support families in difficult circumstances in the area . In addition, life support activities such as free haircuts and giving away Mobifone SIM cards also received enthusiastic responses from the people.

In the solemn atmosphere at Dong Noc Nang historical site, the youth union members offered incense and visited, together reviewing the heroic history of the army and people of the province. This is a meaningful and practical traditional education activity to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Revolutionary Tradition Day of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province. Thereby, the program not only demonstrates the morality of " When drinking water, remember its source " but also arouses the pride and sense of responsibility of the youth of the health sector towards their homeland and country.

The program has the accompaniment and support of many units such as the Provincial People's Committee Youth Union, the Vietnam - Korea Vocational College Youth Union, the Provincial Police Women's Union and sponsors, demonstrating the strength of solidarity in the socialization of volunteer activities .

The trip back to the source ended successfully and left a good impression in the hearts of more than 300 people of Vinh Hau commune, affirming the role and responsibility of young doctors of Ca Mau in taking care of people's health and repaying gratitude.
