On February 14th (the 27th day of the 12th lunar month), the official event commenced at the central area of Dai Dong communal house (Hamlet 2, Thach That Commune, Hanoi ). From early morning, many youth union members were present to prepare equipment, set up the car-washing area, and welcome people who came to show their support. Despite some initial hesitation, with their enthusiasm and the encouragement of the local people, the program unfolded in a joyful, responsible, and meaningful atmosphere.

The program was held over two days, February 13th and 14th (corresponding to the 27th and 28th of the 12th lunar month), with no fixed fee; people participated and supported it on a voluntary basis. This fundraising model is practical, accessible, and suitable for local conditions, thus receiving strong support from the people.
According to Comrade Le Van Hoan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Thach That Commune, the "Car Wash for Fundraising" activity is being implemented for the first time in the Youth Union of Hamlet 2 after the administrative boundary merger. The hamlet currently has over 600 households with more than 2,000 residents, therefore, organizing a model that fosters community cohesion and generates resources for common activities is essential.
The funds raised will be used to support disadvantaged children and youth union members, and to organize social welfare and volunteer activities. In addition, the Youth Union of the commune is also researching and implementing other fundraising models, such as collecting scrap materials and coordinating livestreaming to introduce OCOP products, aiming to create a healthy environment and promote the pioneering spirit of young people for the community.
Beyond its fundraising purpose, the activity also contributes to strengthening the bond between young people and the community, spreading the spirit of sharing during Tet. The model also aims to contribute to the social program "Lighting up rural roads - installing decorative LED lighting systems," building a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe environment in the locality.

Although not large in scale, the concrete and practical actions of the youth of Thach That commune have contributed to creating a warm and meaningful Tet atmosphere, affirming the pioneering role and responsibility of youth union members in community building.
