The Youth Union of Bac Yen commune currently has more than 1,500 members, operating in 27 village and sub-regional branches. Recently, the Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union has launched the campaign "Bac Yen commune youth join hands to build new rural areas" with key tasks: Propagating the policy of building new rural areas; building cultural life and maintaining security and order in the area, attracting union members and young people to participate.

Ms. Sa Thi Hue, Secretary of the Bac Yen Commune Youth Union, said: Since the beginning of the year, volunteer movements have continued to be carried out effectively, maintaining "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday" in villages and sub-regions. Youth union members have been mobilized to plant more than 3,500 trees; more than 1,000 union members have organized 60 environmental sanitation sessions at agencies, headquarters, residential areas and memorial houses; dredging 2 km of canals; supporting over 1,000 people to carry out administrative procedures and use online public services.

Through the "Youth Volunteer" movement, the "Winter Volunteer - Spring Volunteer" Campaign and the "Accompanying youth to practice, develop life skills, improve physical and spiritual cultural life", many community-oriented activities have been implemented, bringing practical meaning. During the year, the Commune Youth Union coordinated to mobilize resources, receive and give more than 500 gifts to support students and families in difficult circumstances; installed 15 solar lights at community activity points; gave 120 warm clothes to children in the highlands. Along with that, the Commune Youth Union implemented 1 "Library for Children" project; 1 school painting and repair project at Tam Hop Primary School, contributing to improving learning conditions for students.

Along with volunteer activities, the youth entrepreneurship movement has been strongly promoted. The Bac Yen Commune Youth Union has coordinated with specialized agencies to organize many training courses, transfer science and technology, provide career counseling and introduce jobs to youth union members. Many typical economic models of the union members have brought about clear results, such as: Pig raising model of Hong Ngai village union members, fighting chicken raising model of union members in Phieng Ban 2 Sub-area... with an income of 150 - 200 million VND/year.

After graduating from high school, Giang A Gang, from Hong Ngai village, helped his family with farming, but his income was unstable. After researching and learning from reality, in 2021, Giang decided to borrow capital to start a commercial pig farming model. To date, his family has a 600 m2 farm, maintaining more than 100 pigs and sows per litter, each year, selling over 120 pigs. After deducting expenses, his family earns more than 500 million VND per year, becoming a bright spot in the economic development of local youth union members.

Mr. Gang shared: Raising livestock requires hard work, constant learning about care techniques, disease prevention and finding stable output for products. Thanks to this model, my family has a good income and a stable life.

In addition to economic development, the youth union members of Bac Yen commune also actively participate in community support activities and digital transformation, affirming their pioneering role in many areas of social life. The Bac Yen commune union regularly maintains the "Youth volunteers supporting the operation of the Public Administration Service Center" team, supporting more than 1,000 people to access and effectively use online public services, instructing on the installation of VNeID application, using electronic identification accounts... In addition, the youth union members coordinate to review, provide information and guide the process of exchanging party membership cards, and enter data for nearly 1,720 party members.

With the spirit of initiative, creativity and dedication, the youth of Bac Yen commune continue to affirm their pioneering role in all movements. Each member and youth becomes a positive factor, building the Youth Union into a strong organization, contributing to the locality in implementing the new rural targets and criteria, bringing Bac Yen commune to further development in the new period.
