A resounding victory at France's Parc des Princes has helped coach Didier Deschamps' team to completely resolve the goal of winning a direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup finals in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Despite a difficult first half that ended in a 0-0 draw against a disciplined Ukrainian defense, captain Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring with a successful penalty in the 55th minute, helping Les Bleus' spirits rise.
Mbappe completed his double in the 83rd minute, along with goals from Michael Olise (76') and Hugo Ekitike (88') to seal a "4-star" victory for the French team. With this result, France officially became the second European team (after England) to directly qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Meanwhile, at Wembley, England continued to assert their position at the top of the group with a comfortable but effective 2-0 victory over Serbia. Despite having already secured their place in the next round, coach Thomas Tuchel still maintained his concentration and controlled the match.
The goals were scored by Bukayo Saka in the 28th minute and Eberechi Eze in the 90th minute. This result helped England maintain their impressive winning streak in the qualifying round, maintaining the top position in the group with a goal difference and destructive form.
Italy also completed the 3-point target in the away match against Moldova, consolidating its position in the race for a direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup finals.
Having to play away, Italy dominated and won easily 2-0 against Moldova, without any surprises. This is an important step forward for coach Gennaro Gattuso and his team in their effort to avoid the play-off position, aiming for the official ticket.

A 2-0 win over Moldova moved Italy up to 18 points, but their hopes of qualifying directly for the 2026 World Cup are facing a huge test as Norway strengthened their position with a 4-1 win over Estonia, opening up a three-point gap.
This means that the two teams will have a "final" match in the last round on November 17 to decide the direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup finals.
