Pre-match information

On their opening day, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team continued to demonstrate their status as a top contender at the 33rd SEA Games by easily defeating Myanmar in just 50 minutes. With a well-balanced squad and superior experience, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's players quickly imposed their dominance, securing an overwhelming victory with scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-6.

Not only did the victory achieve the set goal, but it also encouraged the coaching staff to confidently rotate the squad, giving playing opportunities to many young talents such as Anh Thao and Nhu Anh.

In the next match, taking place at 12:30 PM today (December 11th), Vietnam's opponent will be the Malaysian women's team. Similar to Myanmar, this team is not considered a strong contender in the group.

Given the disparity in skill and physique, experts predict this will continue to be an easy match for Thanh Thúy and her teammates.

However, it is highly likely that captain Thanh Thúy will remain on the bench to avoid injury and ensure her fitness for the knockout rounds, where the Vietnamese team aims to advance deep into the tournament and defend its position in the region.

If they maintain their current form, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team could very well finish the group stage with a perfect winning streak, creating a favorable psychological momentum for their journey to conquer medals at the SEA Games 33.
