We seem to still be somewhere in the space and time of the historic September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square - Hanoi , in front of tens of thousands of people, Uncle Ho's warm voice is transmitted into every breath, every heartbeat echoes: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence and has truly become a free and independent country."
“His voice is not thunder from above
Warm every word penetrates into the heart of desire
I listen to you, Uncle Ho, thinking I'm listening to the words of the country.
The voice of the past and the voice of the future…”
(To Huu)
It can be said that the Declaration of Independence is a typical masterpiece, reflecting most fully and deeply the philosophical, political and humanistic views of President Ho Chi Minh, containing the values of human civilization and undeniable truths about human rights and national rights.

78 years have passed, but the Declaration of Independence still retains its profound contemporary value, affirming the will, aspiration, and happiness of the Vietnamese people. The values of the right to life, the right to freedom, the right to pursue happiness, etc. have been transformed into resolutions by our Party and State and brought into life.
The Declaration of Independence expressed the Vietnamese people's iron determination to maintain the freedom and independence that they had won. That was the determination, "Even if we have to burn down the Truong Son mountain range, we must gain independence"...
Uncle Ho's words have become a great strength for the entire nation, helping our entire Party, army and people overcome all difficulties and challenges, persevere, bravely and persistently fight, gain great achievements, liberate the South, unify the country, develop the economy - society and integrate internationally.
After more than 35 years of implementing the renovation process, our country has escaped the state of underdevelopment. Economic growth has increased continuously, culture and society have developed. The construction of new rural areas has achieved many positive results. Vietnam's Human Development Index (HDI) has improved, and people's living standards have been raised.
Along with that, foreign relations and international integration are increasingly extensive and effective. The position and prestige of our country continue to be enhanced. Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with nearly 190 countries in the world. At the same time, it has joined and actively built the ASEAN economic community, effectively participating in regional and international economic links at many levels.
Over the past 78 years, the immortal Declaration of Independence of beloved Uncle Ho still resonates with the country's mountains and rivers, forever accompanying the history of the struggle to build and defend the country of the Vietnamese people. That Declaration of Independence clearly demonstrates the righteous truth, the strong legality and the noble morality of the Vietnamese people.
The light of the Declaration of Independence has inspired creativity and illuminated the path of the Vietnamese revolution, reaching new heights in the cause of building a State of the people, by the people, for the people, reaching the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
The Declaration of Independence has become a great strength, a compass for action for the Vietnamese people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, going from one victory to another.
Today, in the context of the complicated developments in the world and the region that directly affect our country, creating both opportunities and challenges, the Party Committee and people of Kien Giang, together with the people of the whole country under the leadership of the Party, are determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution 11 of the Provincial Party Committee, to keep the sacred oath in the Declaration of Independence: "The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence."
With the aspiration for independence, freedom, and development of a strong country, thoroughly grasping and successfully implementing the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress is not only the eternal aspiration of our ancestors, crystallized eloquently in the Declaration of Independence, but also our motto for action in the new era.
