The information was revealed by the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, during a meeting to encourage the Vietnamese women's team on the afternoon of November 3 in Hanoi .
According to Mr. Tuan, the Vietnamese women's team will be given maximum conditions in the preparation process for the 2026 Asian Women's Championship taking place in Australia, a tournament that is also a qualifying round for the 2027 Women's World Cup. The team will have a training trip in China after the end of the 33rd SEA Games.
The training trip is part of a cooperation program between VFF and the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The specific schedule and location will be announced later.
Before the national women's team, U22 Vietnam under the leadership of acting coach Dinh Hong Vinh will leave for China for training in November to prepare for the SEA Games.
2025 is a successful year for women's football at all levels. President Tran Quoc Tuan praised the efforts of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team in recent times, while emphasizing the task of defending the gold medal in women's football at the upcoming congress.
According to the draw results, the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group as the Philippines, Myanmar and Malaysia. This is considered a difficult group because all the opponents have made strong progress, especially the Philippines with many naturalized players.
Therefore, President Tran Quoc Tuan noted that the coaching staff and players need to continue to research and carefully analyze opponents to maximize the team's strengths.
On November 20, the Vietnamese women's team will end their domestic training session, then go to Japan to train for the 33rd SEA Games.
