Sharing with the teams, the Minister sent Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's wishes and encouragement to the delegation, hoping that the teams would try their best and compete with an honest and noble spirit, bringing glory to Vietnamese sports.
In particular, the Minister took the time to listen to the opinions and thoughts of the heads of delegations of Vietnamese sports departments. Sharing with the Minister, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), leader of the two teams U22 Vietnam and Vietnam women's team Tran Anh Tu said two major difficulties of football teams.
Firstly, the hotel meals were not guaranteed. This problem was gradually overcome by both teams, the men's team received support from the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, the women's team also received support and proactively bought extra food outside.
The second problem is the women's team's travel. Mr. Tu expressed: "The most difficult thing for the women's team is the training ground. The distance to the field is about 40 km, the road is small, it takes 1.5 hours (during rush hour - PV), sometimes it takes up to 4.5 hours. Many female players are tired. I don't understand why you arranged it like that for us, it's too difficult. I would like to ask the Minister and the delegation leaders to hold a meeting with the organizing committee, to propose a training ground closer to the women's team."
Responding to the VFF representative, the Minister expressed his sympathy and affirmed that he would make a recommendation to the Thai side. However, the Minister said that changing the training ground in the context of the tournament having gone through two rounds is not easy, we also need to encourage the women and try to find other solutions.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung will attend the opening ceremony of the SEA Games tonight (December 9). The Southeast Asian Games will officially take place from December 9 to 20, with 50 sports and 574 sets of medals.
