The application of QR codes in traffic management and support is a practical and modern solution, in line with the national digital transformation trend. With the technology deployed synchronously, tourists will have a reliable "companion" on every journey, helping them have a fulfilling and safe experience exploring Dong Van, avoiding potential traffic risks.

Foreign tourists learn about the route via QR code.
Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Provincial Police to implement the "Distribution of QR Codes for Safe Traffic on the Dong Van Stone Plateau" model. The proposed model aims to transform a familiar digital tool (QR code) into a powerful assistant for tourists. According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the implementation of this "digitalization" model brings many practical benefits: It enhances self-awareness; instead of static signs, QR codes provide dynamic, visual information (images, maps), encouraging tourists to proactively learn about traffic safety. Transparent and convenient, this is an important step for Tuyen Quang to build its image as a smart and friendly tourist destination. The ultimate goal is to minimize accidents and protect the safety of tourists and local people.
At the Heaven's Gate landmark in Quan Ba commune – the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau – motorbike and car drivers of tourists stopped to check in and were given instructions by local youth union members and volunteers to scan QR codes for safe travel on the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Mr. Tran Chung, a driver from Hanoi, said this was his first time taking his family on a trip to the far north. Before the trip, he had done some research on this treacherous route, but upon arrival, he received and scanned QR codes with very specific warning and safety instructions. He explained that scanning the code provides an interactive map warning of dangerous curves, sections prone to landslides and traffic jams, and areas where stopping and parking are prohibited. He also provided guidance on safe driving skills on mountain roads, such as using low gears when descending slopes, maintaining a safe distance, staying in the correct lane, and turning on headlights in foggy conditions. And by directly linking to the hotlines of the local police, traffic police, or rescue teams, it helps authorities locate the victim quickly and respond more promptly than with traditional phone calls.
Many foreign tourists are delighted to scan the traffic safety QR code when entering the Dong Van Karst Plateau. This code also has a bilingual English version, clearly stating the type of international driving license and country that is compatible with the type of vehicle being driven. In addition, tourists also receive a map of famous tourist attractions on the Dong Van Karst Plateau, including must-see check-in points...
