At the conference, the Department of Industry and Trade disseminated the Law on Consumer Rights Protection; noted the new points of the Law compared to the old Law of 2010.
The representative of the Consumer Protection Board, National Competition Commission conveyed an overview of the Law on Consumer Protection, some basic responsibilities of enterprises and consumer dispute resolution; responsibilities of enterprises in collecting and protecting consumer information; regulations on controlling standard contracts, general transaction conditions in transactions with consumers.

To ensure consumer rights, the Department of Industry and Trade requests departments, branches and localities to proactively coordinate in managing and supervising the compliance with the law of production and business organizations and individuals, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to proactively participate in protecting consumer rights and handling violations affecting consumer rights. State management agencies and associations should strengthen propaganda and dissemination of consumer knowledge and laws to the people. Production and business organizations and individuals providing goods and services in the province need to promote the application and development of advanced technology to produce goods and provide safe services, ensuring quality; improve business culture, respect the rights and listen to the opinions of consumers.
