In recent times, Quang Yen Town has implemented many solutions to promote the application of information technology in administrative reform, digitizing administrative procedures to serve people and businesses better and better. In particular, the town has promoted the role of the local community digital technology team; helping to bring digital platforms and digital technology to every family and every person faster and more effectively.
Implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town on promoting propaganda, disseminating instructions for people to register for electronic identification codes and perform online public services, in recent days, immediately after receiving leaflets on online public services and the VNeid application, communes and wards in the town have focused on distributing them to each household. Members of the Community Digital Technology Team and village and neighborhood officials have gone to each alley and knocked on each door to distribute leaflets; at the same time, guiding and supporting people to register to create accounts and how to use some online public services such as: Issuing and exchanging motorcycle driving licenses; certifying records; issuing ordinary passports; registering births; registering deaths.
Mr. Tran Xuan Ngan, Secretary and Head of Cay Sam Village, Tien An Commune, Quang Yen Town, said: “Digital transformation is no longer strange to the people of Cay Sam Village. In the village, 80 people in 200 households have installed VNeid, digital applications and national public services. Thanks to the guidance of the Community Digital Technology Team, some people have installed the application and know how to skillfully use the operations in the digital environment. Thereby, reducing the time to do administrative procedures, other transaction activities in daily life are also faster and more convenient”.
Although there are many difficulties in the process of implementing digital transformation, with a methodical approach, Tien An commune is one of the localities that effectively implement digital transformation in Quang Yen town. Currently, the rate of people in the commune who have been issued with chip-embedded ID cards is 6,521/7,532 people, reaching 86.6%; 90% of people in the commune have electronic health books; over 60% of households have online public service accounts and installed digital applications; 60% of the adult population have electronic payment accounts to pay fees, charges, electricity, water, internet, shopping, etc.
In Nam Hoa Ward, during these days, ward officials and members of the Community Digital Technology Team have also accelerated the distribution of leaflets, instructions on creating national public service accounts, and applying VNeid to each household. Identifying digital transformation as one of the key tasks, contributing to implementing the 2023 working theme of improving the efficiency and quality of people's lives, in 2023, Nam Hoa Ward has diversified forms of propaganda, changing people's awareness and actions about digital transformation. To date, the ward has achieved over 90% of the population being issued with chip-embedded citizen identification cards.
In addition, the locality has received digital transformation documents and instructions for registering for electronic identification provided by the town and strives to distribute them to 100% of households in the ward this May. At the same time, the ward has directed the organization of shock forces and community digital technology teams to directly guide people in residential areas to install applications. At cultural houses, there are billboards and posters instructing people to install and use digital transformation utilities.
To promote propaganda work and encourage people to participate in using online public services, the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town has directed the Department of Culture and Information to complete the printing of 40,000 leaflets promoting online public services and installing the VNeid application in 2023. This is one of the practical activities, contributing to changing people's awareness and actions, creating digital citizens; thereby ensuring the effectiveness of digital transformation in the town; at the same time, promoting the implementation of the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025.
