According to records, malaria prevention and control in the area is currently facing many difficulties, because A Doi and Lia communes are in areas where malaria is frequently circulating; the alternating rainy and sunny weather creates favorable conditions for Anopheles mosquito populations to grow and develop; it is currently the harvest season, the population is mobile, going to the forest, exploiting forest products, people going back and forth to Laos to work on the fields, sleeping on the fields is difficult to control; the rate of people using personal protection measures is not high.
It is forecasted that in the coming time, the number of malaria patients in A Doi and Lia communes will tend to increase.
