Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong is in the TOP 80 richest people in the world.

According to real-time updates on Forbes , as of the morning of December 9, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets reached 28.5 billion USD, an increase of 2.9 billion USD compared to yesterday. This increase puts the Vingroup Chairman in the group of billionaires with the strongest increase in net worth during the day and ranks 79th on the list of the world's richest people.

Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets increased sharply after Vingroup's VIC shares soared. In this morning's trading session (December 9), VIC shares increased by more than 5% to around VND160,500/share, even increasing to VND163,300/share at times.

Previously, in the trading session on December 8, VIC shares increased to the ceiling price of 152,700 VND/share. This was the second consecutive ceiling price increase, bringing Vingroup's market capitalization to approximately 1.2 million billion VND.

VIC shares increased after new positive information related to VinSpeed member assigned by Ho Chi Minh City to build Ben Thanh - Can Gio railway worth nearly 4 billion USD. This is the first high-speed railway connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with Can Gio district, with a total preliminary investment of more than 102,400 billion VND, not including nearly 12,800 billion VND in compensation and site clearance costs guaranteed by the State budget.

In addition, as planned, on December 19, Vingroup will hold a launching ceremony for 4 projects in Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh).

The projects include: VinMetal Ha Tinh Steel Factory (scale of 461 hectares, total investment of nearly VND 80,000 billion); Ky Anh Wind Power Plant (capacity of 400 MW, investment capital of VND 17,051 billion); Eco Wind Ky Anh Wind Power Plant (capacity of nearly 500 MW, investment capital of VND 22,647 billion) and Ky Trinh New Urban Area (scale of 84 hectares, investment capital of VND 8,000 billion).
