Now Thaco Group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Fresh Del Monte, billionaire Tran Ba Duong clearly affirmed the goal of bringing Vietnamese agricultural products to the global supply chain. Del Monte is the largest food corporation in the US, founded in 1886. The Fresh Del Monte brand alone has positioned itself as a leading fruit producer and supplier in the world since 1989.
To sign a strategic cooperation contract with a 10-year term, Fresh Del Monte has regularly and thoroughly surveyed and inspected Thaco Agri's farm system and cultivation process. At the strategic cooperation signing ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Mohamad Abbas, Deputy General Director of Fresh Del Monte said: "We are always looking for large and visionary partners. In addition to suitable technology, we find that Thaco Agri's staff are well-trained and very professional. With Thaco Agri as a partner, we not only share knowledge but also learn many other interesting things. Thaco Agri's large-scale agricultural model needs to be replicated in the Asian region."

One product that billionaire Tran Ba Duong chose from the beginning for Thaco Agri was bananas. With an area of 5,800 hectares grown using high technology, Thaco Agri has supplied to many Chinese partners. However, billionaire Tran Ba Duong wanted to bring fresh bananas to cities with the most demanding consumers in Asia such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing... so Thaco Group proactively joined hands with Fresh Del Monte.
From 2026, 12 containers of bananas from Thaco Agri farms will be delivered to Fresh Del Monte's international distribution system every day. According to the agreement, in the first year of the strategic cooperation, Fresh Del Monte will purchase at least 71,500 tons of bananas supplied by Thaco Agri. The quantity will be adjusted annually by both parties, and is expected to reach 240,000 tons of bananas per year (equivalent to 40 containers per day).
In addition, the next fruit order that Fresh Del Monte has for Thaco Agri is the pink pineapple variety, with an area of 2,000 hectares. Pinkglow pineapple is a fruit with a very high price, a pink pineapple has a transaction price on the market of about 40 USD (more than one million VND).

Billionaire Tran Ba Duong shared: “We are ready to build a high-class farm for Fresh Del Monte, with the highest production risk prevention mechanism, absolutely no defective products on the market. The cooperation with Fresh Del Monte meets the basic needs for the development of Thaco Agri in particular and Thaco Group in general. When Fresh Del Monte ensures a stable output of 15% of output, Thaco Agri will also expand production, the banana growing area in 2026 will increase to 16 thousand hectares and by 2027 will increase to 20 thousand hectares.
In terms of history, Thaco Agri is very young compared to Fresh Del Monte, and Thaco Group is also very young compared to Del Monte Group. They have accumulated a lot of experience and technology, while we have the momentum of technology. A new player accompanying a veteran player, but we are not ashamed.
