U22 Vietnam enters training, preparing for the match with U22 China

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that the U22 Vietnam team entered its first and only training session in Sichuan (China) on the afternoon of January 11 to prepare for the opening match against the host team China, at the CFA Team China - Panda Cup 2025 International Football Tournament.

According to VFF, the weather in Sichuan is quite favorable for the team's training activities, with an average temperature of about 17 degrees Celsius. The training ground is only about 5 minutes away from the team's accommodation and has good quality grass, meeting the team's training standards.

At this afternoon's training session, Le Viktor, Nguyen Dinh Bac and Minh Phuc - the players who played a lot of time in yesterday's V.League match - only did light recovery exercises.

The remaining players were reinforced with tactical exercises, trained in teamwork and quick transition skills to prepare for the opening match against U22 China.

Before the training session, coach Dinh Hong Vinh took the time to encourage his players, and emphasized that although this training session did not have much time due to the V.League competition schedule, that was not too big of an obstacle for the whole team.

“The coaching staff is very happy to see the whole team again in the important period leading up to SEA Games 33. This is the time when we need to focus and show the highest level of professionalism,” said coach Dinh Hong Vinh.

The coaching staff and the entire team also congratulated the return of striker Bui Vi Hao after a long period of injury treatment. Acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh expressed hope that Vi Hao will soon regain his ball feel, integrate quickly and reach his best form before entering the SEA Games 33 campaign.

Evaluating the opponent U22 China, coach Dinh Hong Vinh said that he and his colleagues had prepared carefully, and highly appreciated the progress of the home team.

Through three confrontations in international friendly tournaments organized by CFA, U22 China has shown that it is an opponent with good physical strength, increasingly modern playing style and is clearly progressing.

According to the schedule, the match between U22 Vietnam and U22 China will take place at 6:35 p.m. (Vietnam time) tomorrow, November 12.

This is considered the first important challenge for coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team at the Panda Cup 2025, a tournament of great significance in the preparation journey for the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
