U23 Southeast Asia 2025: Vietnam U23 team has first win

According to a VNA reporter in Indonesia, the Vietnam U23 team had its first victory against the Laos team in its journey to defend the Southeast Asian U23 championship.

After 90 minutes of play, the U23 Vietnam team won against the U23 Laos team with a score of 3-0. Coach Kim Sang Sik's team showed good tactics in this match, controlling the tempo of the match and defending well against the counterattacks of the U23 Laos team. In addition to the opening goal of Khuat Van Khang in the first half, U23 Vietnam scored 2 more goals in the second half, scored by Nguyen Hieu Minh, a 1m84 tall center back.

In an interview after the match, coach Kim Sang Sik expressed his joy that the players had a good day playing against the Laos team.
